Just wondering, does this happen to anyone else with a Samsung Galaxy Mini?

My phone keeps randomly turning itself off.

It's not due to low battery as when this happens the battery indicator shows the battery is full (or almost full).

Anyone from Meteor/ someone with this phone know how to solve this issue?

I'd be very grateful, thanks!

    Hi Steven,

I bought the phone in September (2011) and it's been happening on and off since then.

It usually happens at least once a week and sometimes two or three times a week.

    Hi there,

Have you sent this for repair?

    Hi,

No I haven't. I was hoping there would be an alternative to sending if off for repair (such as upgrading the software on the phone).

I've heard that when phones get sent for repair all the data stored on the phone gets erased, and I'd prefer to avoid this if I could.

Do you know if there's any other solution to this prolem (besides sending it back for repair)?

    Thanks very much

I am not having any problems with my mini, but I only have mine a couple of weeks.

Regarding your data, you shouldn't worry too much as your contacts etc should be backed up by your google account (login to http://gmail.com and your contacts should be there). You could also give Samsung Kies a try to do an update, if one is required. Kies should also backup your data. http://samsung.com/kies

You could try to restore the phone to factory settings. This will erase everything from the phone. To restore it, turn off the phone, then hold the main button while turning it back on. You should get a recovery screen. You can restore to factory settings from there ;)

    Hi Guys,

We're on for an hour answering some Meteor / Samsung customer questions - just to let you know we've posted a response to Eod100's original question in the 'Ask Samsung' thread at the top of the page.

    Cheers,

Have you got a link to the fix please? I've been having the same problem since I bought my Galaxy Mini last year.
